Primus and the seven continents
Primus has become a world famous penguin. He has lived two years in North America, travelled in South America, Europe, Asia and Africa: Furthermore, he was residing in Australia for two years.
Antarctica was discovered by Primus in 2008, which made him the first penguin ever to encounter all seven continents. Obviously it remains a trip into outer space. Unfortunately, Primus has not yet any
good connections in the space industry (well, not completely true, actually) but hope to one day make such friends. After all, Primus is really not
heavy, don't eat much and wouldn't make a sound if he could just make the trip!
Primus has been around many countries. Unfortunately, not all stays are well documented. Anyway, the lesson to be learned is to always
bring both camera and penguin! Some of the pictures taken are with a 35mm SLR and without any opportunity to scan the slides with decent
quality, these pictures cannot yet be shown in public.
Primus was mentioned in the GAP adventure Machu Picchu theme news in june 2005, others from that it has so far been
few reports in any newspaper.
A great story was the shot taken above "The Nuns Valley" at Madeira Island. I was focusing the camera as my friend held Primus in position when some
british tourists appeared. I apologised for blocking the path and explained they should interrupt, as my project was of little importance, and they
responded with a funny smile on their lips: "Well, it is important to you!". In the end, it was a great shot!
