The 15:th of october 1999 I defended my thesis in computerized image analysis.
A few weeks prior to that, I was in desperate need for a movie star for a music video I was preparing
for the upcoming party (see separate page for the full party details). I had written the song "Penguin Parade"
which was one of the songs to be played by me and a friend of mine at the party.
A beautiful and kind girl gave me a present that day. It was actually intended for the dissertation day,
but she insisted on giving it early. The reason was obvious when I saw that the present was actually Primus - a penguin!
The video got recorded and instantly Primus got accustomed to the way of living as a star - likely the reason was a scene where
Primus sat surrounded by penguin socks and liquor. I have tried to continue show the appreciation to this present ever since.
Primus has reached way over 80 countries so far - the official 80th birthday party "Terra Firma" is upcoming this winter. He has been 10 years on the web, and look forward to reach 90 within not many years at all! As his new friend Kråka has been travelling at high pace, Primus counter act will be to travel at even higher pace.
